I don’t agree !! …
I don’t agree !! This is neither a stage tango nor anything else close to tango, except some of the steps they try!! They have no whatsoever technique for tango. Alone the “embrace” is a joke. They may be experts in hip hop dancing, yes! I agree that there are dinner shows in BA, showing stage tango, yes! But good one! By professional dancers! They deserve their money indeed. Others go to prison …

this is very …
this is very different from the other videos you have…. the other videos are easier to learn…. but I guess non argentians are used to see staged tango and think that its how it is always danced… its the same with salsa, the one you dance socially is completely different to the one they do at the competitions.
Anyway… in any form tango is such a beautiful expression of Argentinian culture

This “modern” tango …
This “modern” tango they demonstrate is actually choreography for the stage and should not be attempted on a social floor. You can see it danced in many dinner/show places in Buenos Aires. Those who dance it don’t go to prison for dancing it–they get paid for their performances.
