i mean i started ballet when i was 5
i am in a pro class now
and i have taken pointe for 3 years (i am 14 now)
but i dont think it was from all the years and years of my practice
but it was from my years and years of dedication
as long as your desicated i dont think that anything can stop you!!
soo keep going!

I just love her …
I just love her she’s great.
I want to be as good as her one day.
I started ballet at 12 is that too old?
I feel weird sometimes.
I’m intermediate at my studio but I’m the oldest in my class.
But it’s not going to slow me down. I’m going to keep on dancin’

That’s So great, Because I have gone to SSOOOOO many dance instructers who say “YOU ONLY HAVE UNTIL YOU ARE 17 TO TRAIN OR ELSE YOU ARE WORTHLESS.” I find that horrible. simply because …It’s not true.

you’re right! i wear them too, they’re comfy, and they’ve strengthened my feet. people think they weaken your feet, but i use a softer shank.

i used to do that.. …
i used to do that… kick myself in the head ..it startles you cuz it hurts
too old and stiff to kick myself now but i can still do those high kicks
you are never too old ..im 54

True, it is more difficult the older you start, but there have been professional dancers who started after age 13…Nureyev comes to mind
Just start and see where your passion takes you.

its definetly not to late to start ballet if your doing it for fun. u wouldn’t be able to do it seriously, because most schools that are really professionall, u have to audition when you’re 13. but if its for fun then sure. ballet is really fun and if u do start taking lessons i hope u like them!!

godwill, I started again when I was 19, too, having had classes only from age 6-7, and it was GREAT. It is a lot of work, but you can do it, no doubt.
