What are some tips for doing better in dance classes?
Author: admin
I am really bored right now so I was wondering what do you think is very important to do in dance classes? What do you think every dancer should be able to do? I’m really focusing on ballet and modern. So what do you think are good things for a dancer to know? Thanks and please no rude answers
Well I believe every dancer should know how and when to listen, even if the teacher is giving corrections to another dancer, you should always listen and grasp on to what they have to say… Soak every bit of knowledge up.
Also just push yourself, push yourself for that extra turn in your pirouette… and keep positive thoughts, b/c you will never pull off a triple if you go into it thinking you cant do it.
Another thing is, keep your movement alive, even if it is the simplest, if you feel alive your movement will look and feel much more passionate.
One more thing I think is good, is to know how to pick up choreography quick, well I know I have trouble with this, so i am always trying to find ways to try and improve this skill.
I hope I have helped, these are just some things I think every dancer should be able to do, to be able to grow…

Are there dance classes in Bangalore where they teach Dandiya and Garba?
You can just go to festivals wherever there’s a Gujarati community, there’ll be garba going on, and pick it up from them
Maybe ask around there too, they’re the best place to get started, to be honest

I live in the south, an area chalk full of tradition. It seems like if you are a girl at my school, you just are not cool unless you take dance. I admit I took some classes from 3 years old to about 10 years old, but I am almost 18 now! I GREW UP! There are girls at my school who still compete in competitions with little tutus and freakish looking recital costumes. If it is something you like to do I understand, but why do girls consider dancing such an essential way of life down here? It is so ridiculous.
Because they love it. Not all dance classes have to consist of prissy little tutus, they might want to become professionals. It doesn’t matter how old you are; if you love dance, you should take it. My friend is 16, and she dances 30 hours per week at a ballet academy. She is absolutely incredible, and every day she works SO hard. Dancing might not be your thing, but you shouldn’t say that it’s "ridiculous" just because you don’t agree with it. Also, it’s no one else’s problem on here if the you have to take dance to be cool where you live.
What are some benchmarks for dance classes?

I’m trying to find some benchmarks for my preschool dance classes. Tap, ballet and tumbling.
Any suggestions? I have some but I’m curious in others’ input.
If they are preschool and under 6 years of age, there is not all that much you can do with them. Physically their bodies are not really ready for real ballet. That is why they put kids that age in pre-ballet. You can teach the 5 positions, but don’t expect them to do it with correct turnout. Actually, you should not have them do 5th position. Just 1st through 4th. They could damage their knees if they attempt 5th without proper turnout.
I would just keep it simple and let them express themselves moving to the music. Nothing structured at all. For tap the simplest basics like shuffle hop step down on both feet. Tumbling, just somersaults.
@Chloe- did you misread this? These are Preschool age kids. (You should really learn how to spell ballet terms. Some of those are not even close.)
What are the best dance classes to take if one wants to learn how to dance like most pop acts on mtv and entertainers, in the style of britney, pussy cat dolls, current pop stars and pop groups? Hip hop? Anything else? Just to get the knack of moving and learning choreography…
I would say you should focus on jazz and hip hop. That "pop" type of dance would fall somewhere in between those types of dancing. You could also call around to some local studios and see what they would suggest for that type of dancing. Some may say you should take a modern or contemporary type of class. This may help, but you should focus on jazz and hip hop. Good luck!

Where to Look for Love?-online Dating
Author: admin
The idea that men think about sex every seven seconds, like the claim that we only use 10 percent of our brains, is often repeated but rarely sourced.
Singles looking for love just about everywhere they go, whether they realize it or not.
Those that are single and looking for love or fun can meet people just about everywhere including at work, at the library, at the bank, and even at the grocery store. It’s usually our everyday tasks that put us in contact with people that we would consider dating, so it comes as no surprise that those that are single come into contact every day with someone who may be ideal for them.
Whether or not we seize the opportunity is another story altogether.
It’s a new trend to meet dates online. Great new online dating site full of dating features
Unfortunately, many singles continually look in the wrong place for love.
For instance, many go out week after week to bars and clubs claiming that they are looking for love, someone to really settle down with.
Unfortunately, a good portion of the people that are at the bars and clubs aren’t looking to settle down, they are looking to have a good time and hang out with people that also want to have a good time.
Single parents often complain about this dating dilemma as they’ll go to the places that are popular and attract fun people, but those fun people aren’t into coming home and taking care of the kids after their work and their play.
To look for serious love are places where you’ll find people that you have something in common with. If you love to dance, why not try to take some dance classes or join a dance group. Here you will not only be able to enjoy dancing (as you do in the club) but you may find someone who is fun to be with, shares your passion for dancing, and is ready to approach love and dating from a more serious angle.
The fact is that you can find people who enjoy the same things as you; you just may have to look in a different place to find someone that wants to enjoy you and those things for a longer period of time!
If you are looking for fun, then you can continue to go to the same places and meet the same sort of people.
But, if your complaints are that you cannot seem to meet men and women that want to date in a more serious capacity, why not review the places you are meeting other people and try to change it up a little bit so that you can still do what you want to do, you can just do it with people who are probably a bit more willing to settle down with you!
Then again, if you want to play safe and find the right person, you should try
Happy Hunting.

Enjoyment and Entertainment Value of Cooking
Author: admin
Far too often we get caught up in the necessity of cooking in order to eat and forget the absolute joy that can be found through the act of cooking. Of course this isn’t limited to stovetop cooking. There are many men and women around the world who find baking to be an extremely pleasurable pastime in addition to traditional stovetop cooking or even barbecuing on a grill. The main distinction occurs in how you perceive your cooking projects.
How Do Your View Cooking?
While this question is asked somewhat rhetorically, it is a question you should ask yourself and answer. Do you view cooking as a chore or duty or do you view it as a project? There is something much more exciting about embarking on a new project than getting around to a loathsome chore. For further details go to 100cookingtips.com. If you do view cooking as a chore the more important question might be why?
Some common reasons that people dislike cooking includes the following: lack of skill, lack of confidence, boredom, for more details visit to www.fair-recipes.com or you could simply dislike the inevitable clean up far more than you enjoy the process of cooking. For each of these, there are solutions if you are willing to make the effort.
A lack of skill when it comes to cooking can be easily corrected in most cases by taking a few cooking classes. Classes are offered for varying degrees of skill sets and are meant to help you develop your cooking talents while teaching you the basics of meal planning and preparation. You can increase your skills by taking more classes down the road.
While a lack of confidence is a little more difficult to address having a few ‘dinner parties’ in which your quests can compliment your culinary talents can often solve this particular dilemma. The key in this process is to plan your menu carefully and remain well within your comfort zone. You will be amazed at the wonderfully rich and delicious meals that can be prepared with very little effort if you are willing to sift through the recipe books in order to find them.
Boredom in the kitchen is perhaps one of the easiest problems to fix there is. The solution is exceedingly simple-find a challenge. Try cooking Thai or Indian cuisine. Try more difficult recipes. Try making only meals from scratch or simply try broadening your use of spices and seasonings. There are many things you can do in order to bring some excitement back into your kitchen. You may even discover hidden talents and tastes in the process.
There will always be clean up. My suggestion is to make a deal with either your partner or your children and they can draw straws over who cleans up. You can also visit at fair-recipes.com. Of course if this won’t work in your family, for more details visit to www.cat-head-biscuit.com you could always turn over a new leaf and clean as you go whenever possible. This makes the clean up process after dinner so much simpler to handle that it is well worth a few extra minutes during meal prep.
Cooking for pleasure is really the only way to cook. If you have difficulties when it comes to finding the enjoyment and entertainment value of cooking, perhaps it’s time you bring some fun back into your kitchen. If you’re barbecuing, put on some Jimmy Buffet and dance around your kitchen. If you’re cooking Italian find some nice Italian music to set the mood. Bring the fun back into your kitchen and you will find that cooking is a pleasure rather than a chore.

I’m already taking dance at school but its only 3x a week. I want to start getting involved in lyrical dance. I know its a combination between ballet and jazz and I have a very basic background in both. What classes should I take to start lyrical dance? Also what’s the difference between contemporary and modern? And does anyone recommend a dance studio in the Houston, TX area?
Lyrical dance borrows pieces from all types and forms of dance and it combines elements of ballet, modern, Jazz, and Tap dance techniques. It is commonly set to popular music with vocals or just instrumental bars. There is no formal requirement for learning lyrical dance however a lyrical dancer requires great strength, stamina, grace and expression that any and all formal dance techniques will be a good foundation for learning lyrical dancing.Since I am in NY I have no idea where you should go but I do know that you will most likely need to try a few classes to find your comfort zone.
Are There Any Underground Dance Studios In Your Area?
Author: admin
There are many dance studios that you can go to learn dance. Every one’s heard of the best and mainstream ones where all the top dancers, choreographers and pop superstars go. But in many large cities there are a number of underground dance studios quietly doing their business with very high standards of dancers.
So how can you find out about these dance studios that not many people have heard about? Well for the most part you find out about them by getting involved in the dance industry and making friends with other dancers. Many times you’ll find out about them by going to the popular dance studios and meeting other dancers there who also go to these underground dance studios.
A lot of these underground dance studios will specialise in only a handful of dance studios which is not surprising since they are not mainstream. Since forever bboys and bgirls have had meetups where they just find an area where they can practise.
There are lots of these underground dance studios that specialise in hip hop or locking and popping. Especially in the inner cities, where people are just doing their own thing.
Usually the more you get involved in a particular community the more you’ll find about these places that dancers go to practise. Many times they’ll have teachers there who are teaching dance classes. Sometimes you can find out about them just by participating in online forums or hanging out with people who are heavily involved in the scene.
A lot of the time these underground places will be cheaper than the mainstream studios and you can get into some good dance classes for a lot cheaper.
You’ll frequently find that these underground dance studios are the places that many dance companies or dance troupes might go for their dance rehearsals and the studios are not as expensive to hire. If you know anyone in a dance crew it’s also worth asking where they practise as it may an underground place that a lot of people go to.
Also don’t feel that it’s the end of the world if you can’t find an underground dance studio. There are plenty of dance studios and opportunities where you can learn many dance styles.
Underground dance studios are not necessarily any better, sometimes they are better, sometimes their standard is worse or just less polished. It’s usually a different crowd and different scene from the other dance studios, if it’s your scene most likely you will find out about it in time.
