- Are classes or private lessons better?
- Is it good exercise for toning muscles and gaining flexibility?
- Are there classes for beginners?
- Is it partner, individual or group work?
Any other details would be helpful from people who have experienced this type of dance in a workshop of some kind of a class.
Thank you.
Lots of local youth clubs have groups. Check your local paper for details. It is good exercise and good for socialising with other teenagers, so I would say join a group as opposed to private lessons. No you don't need a partner. Most classes welcome beginners.

I have never danced in my life, I don’t even dance at clubs. This is because I suffer from WMS (White Man’s Syndrom) which is the number one killer of rhythm.
I think that learning to dance is something I should learn, so that I am prepared for occasions where there is dancing.
My university offers a Social dance class. Do you think this would be a good class for someone with no prior experience?
Why not? My bet is you’ll meet some women there that will be friends for a very long time.

I mean,I really want to enter 2 dance classes.
One of them is ballet.
Do u think I can still take dance classes while I’m in college?
Or will it be difficult?
I really want to enter dance classes no matter what, but I just need your opinions and suggestions.
Never mind my course, just apply this to any college courses.
Thank you all!
An ex-girlfriend of mine did just that. When in college, she attended dance classes. So it's possible. She did it in the college she was in. If there are dance classes at your college, you can take lessons. If not, try to find a dance class as near as possible.
You should follow your dreams, if it's important to you, go ahead
I am in 8th grade and I'm starting high school next year. At the camp I'm going to, you have to pick a minor because it's a cheer camp. I want to improve my dance skills, so which class should I take?
Hip-hop
Jazz
Ballet
Contemporary
Mixed
Thanks a ton!
I think that jazz would be best because it combines the stretching and strengthening of ballet with the fun moves and cheerleading qualities of hip-hop. But contemporary would be good too. It just might not be as helpful to use in your routines.
